Friday Five: Food For Thought (1)
I started out writing what I thought would be an abbreviated post about observations, books, films, anecdotes, and experiences that have strongly shaped my perspective. As this post went on, it started spiraling into a, "Hey! Here's a collection of interesting / useful reading materials!" post... while I didn't necessarily agree with all of the content, it was great for shaping a perspective and generally as "food for thought."
I've decided to chunk these out into a series of small posts, each consisting of five linked pieces of content. Just so I can make an alliteration, they will be posted on Fridays :P
...here we go!
- Why Explore Space? (Letter, by Ernst Stuhlinger)
- What are some of the best travel locations that most people have never heard of? (Quora responses by many people)
- The Fermi Paradox (article, by Tim Urban)
- The Late, Great Stephen Colbert (article, by Joel Lovell)
- So you're not up at 5am to work? What's wrong with you? Nothing. (post, by Libby Fordham)
Happy Friday!
